Office Project Gallery Launcher - no Excel items

While Word works fine with this, when I open the Microsoft Office
Project Gallery Launcher, no Excel files are ever listed. They're
listed at the end of the >File menu as they should be, but they don't
appear in the Project Gallery.

What could I have done wrong? How can I fix this?

First, what version of Office are you using? I'll assume 2004...

Check that you have "All Microsoft Documents" selected in the Project
Gallery Dialog's "Show" dropdown, rather than just "Word Documents".

Yup, Office 2004, and I have all documents selected - that was the
first thing I tried. Other suggestions?
