Office recovery after System Recovery

Hello,

Please help me. I had problem starting my PC after keeping it for
hibernation. On the third attempt when its started, my little nephew ran
System Recovery - thinking this would repair the computer. Now, I have lost
most of the applications and I cannot open MS word or Excel or access.

I did not keep the CD nor store the product key; never dreamed I'd require
it anytime.
Is there anyway I can recover my Office 2003? My OS is Windows XP Home
edition.
Thanks in advance.

If by System Recovery you mean the manufacturers recovery option that put
the system back to origonal condition then you need the cd's
You cannot recover anything without the cd's - not keeping the cd's is
similar to not keeping the registration docs for your car

If you didnt keep the cd's then I doubt you kept proof of purchase which
means you will have to repurchase Office.
Its also possible that by 'Recovery' you lost all your data that was on the
PC
