Hi all,
I've done an administrative install of Office 2003 (no support pack
installed). I then deployed Office 2003 using misexec.exe (I also use an mst
file to customize the installation). All goes well.
On my workstation, I use WSUS to update Office with SP2. All goes well.
However when I use Msiexec.exe /faum to reinstall Office...then I go in to
(for example) Word, click Help / About Microsoft Word and it's still
displays it with SP2 installed. My administrative installation does not have
SP in it. I've checked the versions of some files and they are not the files
from my administrative installation. Is this normal behavior...that is, even
if you tell msiexec to force the reinstallation of files (using the /faum
switches) it won't over right newer files?
Thanks,
Glenn
