office service pack 3

My powerpoint always freezes, i.e. no response. I have windows XP
Professional 2002, Dell OEM computer. So I did the check and it tells me to
get office service pack 3. I click that I do not have CDs and it downloads
it, however when it installs after 1/3 it asks for the CDs anyhow. What the
heck is going on?

Unfortunately I do not have the CD handy since I just moved and it is in
storage. What solution is there? It told me I don't need CDs but then it
needs it. That is dumb.

It may be dumb, but alas, that's how it is. You need the cds.
