office settings wizard

We have tried using the office settings wizard to move/save users settings in
office 2003. when we try to restore them we are getting an error message
"The OPS file you specifed has a syntax error. For more information, see the
SMSW.CHM file." this is no help. we are running in a server 2003 domain
with roaming profiles enabled on the client systems.

we have some users with folder redirection turned on as well. it seems to
make no difference whether the user is a roaming user or one of the folder
redirected users the result is the same. tried writing the ops file to the
local drive with the same result.

any ideas???!!!

Hi Dick,

It may depend on what Save My Settings/Office Profile Wizard
settings you're looking to work with and how you deployed Office 2003.Check the link in
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA011401901033.aspx
that leads to the 'customizing user settings' page and the section there on running the Wizard after Office is installed.

The information here on working with Roaming Profiles may also be of use.

Outlook 2003

It may also be that the syntax you're using to apply a saved Profile is not correct. Can you elaborate on the steps you're using
and the syntax you have in your command line?
