Office Shortcut Bar in XP

D

Dave

I use Windows and Office 2000 at work. I have become use
to the Office Shortcut Bar that I keep hidden at the top
of my desktop. I have a new Dell at home with Windows XP-
Pro and Office 2003. I can't figure out how to get the
Shortcut bar onto my desktop. The path on my work PC is
Programs/Microsoft Office Tools/Microsoft Office Shortcut
Bar. This path doesn't work at home.

Dave,

Office 2003 no longer has the Shortcut Bar :( You can install the shortcut
bar from an earlier version of Office, however, 32-bit icons are not
supported and look cummy in it.

Office 2003 does not have a Shortcut bar. Use the "Quicklaunch" bar
feature of the Windows XP Taskbar.

For those who do not want to use the QuickLaunch bar you can create
another Windows toolbar by right-clicking the Windows taskbar and
selecting Toolbars/New Toolbar. Once the toolbar is created you can
drag it off the taskbar. For other customizations, right-click the
toolbar to view the options such as Auto-Hide, Large Icons, etc.
