How do I permanently remove the Microsoft Office Shortcut
Bar from my Windows XP desktop
Right-click the little Windows logo at the left end. A dialogue box will come
asking if you want it to start the next time you start Windows, click No. You
can also completely remove it from your PC using Office Setup from Add/Remove
Programs.
