Office shortcut bar

Hi! I am currently using Office 2003 sp2 and I'm wondering if there's any
add-in/workaround available to have a short cut bar similar to Office 2002?
(Aside from placing the icons on the task bar just beside the Start button)

Sure, you can install the Office XP toolbar or use a third party toolbar,
which has been posted here thousands of times since Office 2003 was
released.

The area you are referring to next to the Start button is the Quick Launch
Toolbar {QL}. If you unlock the Taskbar, you can move the QL Toolbar to
{for example} across the top of your desktop. And, like the Office Toolbar,
you can configure the QL Toolbar to autohide and to always be on top {when
not hidden}.

But, unlike the Office toolbar, if you close the QL toolbar, all of your
settings are gone forever and you have to start over from scratch. A
serious design flaw, I'd say.

Thanks for the replies Don & Gary! Just did the suggestions and verified that
my Office 2003 icons (and other applications in the quick launch toolbar) did
not show up fully when I set the task bar to auto hide. I was hoping I could
separate them into 2 sets.
