Office Shortcut Bar

After installing my Office 2003 Pro, I went to start the
Shortcut bar. Nothing happened. I tried it again.
Again, nothing. I did a C+A+Del and saw 2 of them open.
I closed them and tried it again. Again nothing.
Rebooted the machine and tried again. Same thing no
matter what. Any ideas?

Office 2003 does not contain the Office Shortcut Bar - it was removed as
Windows 2000/xp provides system installed shortcut bars like quick launch.

If you wish, you can install a previous version of the Office shortcut bar.

Milly,

Thank you for the info, it will be most helpful as I am in
the same boat.

However, Microsoft's reasoning that the "quick launch" is
a subsitute for it is totally inadequate, especially if
one like myself has over 300 shortcuts!
