When you right-click on a word in an Office application (usually Word), a
synonym option appears among others. By choosing the synonym option, a list
of synonyms appears. In many cases, however, for words that are a derivation
of a smaller word, choosing the synonym option only gets you the smaller
word. To actually get the synonyms for your word you need to choose the
smaller word, repeat all the steps to retrieve the synonyms, and then
re-conjugate the new word to fit the sentence.
For example: the listed synonyms for experimented are . . . experiment. To
actually find the synonyms you need to choos experiment and reperform the
entire operation; that is, right-clicking on the new word, etc. Then you get
a good list of synonyms: trial, test, research. Then you need to reconjugate
your new word choice to its original derivation, that is, tested, researched,
etc. This function needs to be changed soon.
