Office slow down

Hi
I have office XP running on my 2.8 computer with XP home.

Office XP was not an upgrade

I needed PowerPoint and did not have it with office XP so I loaded it from
my Office 2000 disc, as I am the owner of both.

My PC now freezes for a few seconds with every action taken, could this be a
conflict? They are both original registered discs.

I thought if just removing and reinstalling office XP but would I loose all
my isp and email addresses.
