Office Small Business 2007

I installed 'Microsoft Office Small Business 2007 with Office Professional
2007 Trial'. Because Outlook 2007 is not included, I still use Outlook 2003.
I can send and receive e-mail. However, when I open Outlook 2003 and begin
to download e-mail messages from my ISP server, a window pops up that says
"Windows is configuring Microsoft Office Professional Hybrid 2007" and it
proceeds with a "configuration". This window and message come up for every
e-mail message downloaded from my server.
How can I 'disable' this action?

Hi Tom,

I'm not clerar if you're using the Office 2007 Small Business Edition of the MS Office 2007 Professional Edition from the text of
your message.

Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 is included in all Office 2007 editions other than the Home and Student Edition, but it won't install
if you still have Outlook 2003 installed. To switch to Outlook 2007:

1. Backup your files for safety.

2. Use Add/Remove Programs in the Windows control panel, select the Microsoft Office (older version) choice and set Outlook for that
version to 'Not Available' state, to remove that feature.

3. Restart the PC then from Add/Remove Programs use the
Microsoft Office 2007 choice to set Outlook 2007 as 'Run from my computer'.

4. If you're using MS Office 2007 Professional Edition and wish to also try the MS Office Outlook 2007 Business Contact Manager
Add-in run the setup for it from the Microsoft Office 2007 Professional Edition trial copy CD#2.

I bought a HP notebook last month with the MS Office Small Business Edition
2003. It came with the ability to upgrade to MS Office Small Business 2007
as part of the "Pre-Installed Technology Guarantee Program" from Microsoft.
The CD with the upgrade is labeled 'Microsoft Office Small Business 2007 with
Office Professional 2007 Trial'. I noticed during the installation that
Outlook 2007 was "X-ed" out. A second CD has BCM for Outlook 2007 but will
not install because I do not have Outlook 2007. I have tried to get help
directly from Microsoft, but their on-line assistance will not recognize the
Product ID. HP techs are also working on this problem but they do not have a
clue what is happening. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Publisher are working
fully. Access is only on a trial basis. I am wondering if I got the correct
CD.

hello there,

Could somebody help me?
I have big a problem regarding the activation and convertion to full
version of office small business 2007 trial. I purchased a copy of
medialess kit - "ms office small business 2007 with office professional
2007 trial" last april 7, 2009. I reformat the computer (windows xp pro
sp2) and installed it with "ms office small business 2007 trial (without
office professional 2007 trial)" which I downloaded from microsoft's web
site. I installed that trial version successfully and its working fine,
now my problem is the cd key that i obtained from the purchased "card of
medialess kit" is invalid to activate the trial version of ms office
small business 2007 trial.
Is "ms office small business 2007" the same with "ms office small
business 2007 with office professional 2007 trial"?
My trial version of ms office will expire soon... Please help....
Thank you...

MLK keys are only useable with the media less license media. Depending on
who you purchased the key from I would recommend you go back to them and
either demand the media that will work with your key (which I doubt they
will supply) or refund of your money and then purchase from somewhere else a
full retail version of Office with media.

The MLK purchase has specific restrictions that many companies (especially
many online companies) violate. It is only supposed to be offered to people
that have purchased a new computer from the company that had the software
pre-installed as a trial by the company.

A lot of informational sites from Microsoft that tells all about MLK:

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/HA102240441033.aspx

http://www.microsoft.com/malaysia/office/officeready/faq.mspx (granted
this is a MS Malaysia site but the data is valid)
