Office SP1 update can't find CAB file

Ran Office update search and selected only SP1 update under XP Home Edition -
both SP1 and later after updating to the new SP2. Gets about 3400KB into the
install and tells me the installation is corrupted - please reinstall. I ran
the repair option twice. If you answer OK to that pop-up it goes a little
further, but then pops up and says it can't find Sku0A4.CAB on the CD that
was inserted. CDROM is functioning perfectly with all applicatons. This is a
Teacher's edition 2003 Standard edition bonafide registered CD. That
particular Sku filename is visible on the CD as a ZIPFILE in windows explorer
as are all the other install files ( have options to view hidden files on,
none of them are visible with DOS dir command ). I am logged on with an admin
account. Need answer how to get past error.

Saw a question on the forum asking whether their was an alternative ( maybe
a CD ) for installing SP1 Office updates, but no answer. Download estimate
was 4 hours under dial-up. Is there a CD available for the updates?
