Office SP3 Disk Problem

Ordered Office SP3 disk from Microsoft. Put it in and
extracted the files. Double clicked on file and it
started to install. Then it stopped and said something to
the effect that installation wasn't possible because the
expected program on my computer was not found. What's up
with this?
