Office stalls at start up

Am using XP and cannot open Office Student/Teacher 2003 or 2007 . Sometimes
it hangs and always the "program is not responding". How do I fix this?

Since both installs hang intermittently, I'd start looking at resources
that are intermittently not available. Network printer, network install
drive, interfering anti-virus scans on the hard drive.

there are two methods to test
office and several methods to
repair office.

the couple of methods to test is to
use office in safemode

to do the above simply press the
f8 key during boot to pull up the
special boot menu.

from it, you can select safe modes
to start windows and test your
office.

and the second is to start office
in safe mode.

in normal mode simply hold down
the ctrl key as you click the short
cut for word.

to repair the office, you can go
to the a/r programs and click on
the office to uninstall it or repair
it.

there is also a shortcut in the
office / tools program shortcut
to diagnose problems and
repair office.
