I recently upgraded my Microsoft Office 2000 Professional with Microsoft
Office 2003 Standard (Student Edition). At various times when I use Internet
Explorer and Microsoft Outlook a Window pops up prompting me to wait while
Windows configures my 2000 Professional. It then asks me for the disk (which
I don’t have); I then press cancel and another window pops up generating an
error 1706, “valid source not found for product†(I do not have the 2000
disk).
Then I went into Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs. Professional 2000
appears on the list and I try to remove it and I get Error Message 1316: A
network error occurred while attempting to read from the file
C:WINDOWS\INSTALLER\DATA1.MSI.
PLEASE HELP!!
