My Office Standard Edition 2003 is experiencing file corruption and not
loading some documents in Word or Excel. I need to download a new complete
Install program but cannot find one on the Microsoft site, as I never
received the original Office program CD. Can someone direct me to the proper
site or Microsoft support option so that I can get my download?

Thanks for any help.

Have you tried DETECT and REPAIR option of your Office Standard 2003?
You get this by going to the Menu bar and selection the HELP item. When
you are in the HELP item, there should be a separate item in the long
list called Detect & Repair. Click on ot and it should try to fix most
problems. This only works if you have used the default option in
installation and kept the MSOCache on your HD.

Let us know if it worked. Unfortunately you can't download this product
from anywhere but you could try Microsoft if they could help you. They
may charge you a small fee to cover postage, packing and handling.

Good Luck.

MS will only help if its a retail version and you have proof of purchase, ie
a receipt

Thanks. I just tried it but the problem is, it still asks for the original
installation disc, which I don't have. I bought the program online downloaded
it, in 2004, and they were supposed to send a disc with the program but it
never arrived. I'll try Microsoft if I can find the right contact address.
They don't make it easy, do they.

Speaking of which, the link in the e-mail that was sent to me to inform me
of your reply to my question naturally did not work. Took some effort to get
to this page and read your response. Thanks for your suggestion in any case,
much appreciated.

Try here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326246. The replacement section is
toward the middle of the article. You will need sufficient proof of
ownership.

Your problem with returning to this newsgroup is that you are using the web
interface. Suggest you access these newsgroups with a news reader such as
Outlook Express or Windows Mail.
