Office Standard 2007: Error 2908

Hi,
I hope someone can help. I have tried to install a brand new copy of
Microsft Office Standard 2007 on a brand new Vista Acer Veriton machine. We
have many of these machines (it's a primary school) and we've not encountered
this problem elsewhere.
The setup accept the licensing key and starts the setup. Half way through it
freezes and gives the message;

Error 2908. An internal error has occured.
({D825F2FE-87AB-11D5-A54F-0090278A1BB8} ) Contact Microsoft Product
Support Services (PSS) for assistance. For information about how to contact
PSS,
see c:\Users....

It then goes on to give me a file address. When I try to access the file it
says that it doesn't exist!

Can anyone explain what I need to do to fully install Microsoft Office on
this computer.
Thanks in advance,

Did your Acer come with a trial version of Office? If so, you need to
uninstall the trial and the activation assistant/reboot, then install
Standard.
