I recently purchased a student license of MS Office 2007 and installed it to
my new PC laptop (Windows 7) using a CD and the product key supplied (which
was accepted with no problems). It installed ok - but still said it was a
trial version.
I contacted the supplier, who said:
"The product you have purchased is not a Trial version, it is the full
Office Home & Student title. The problem may be that your PC/Laptop was
shipped to you originally with a trial version and this will need to be
un-installed."
They were correct, so I uninstalled both the trial version, which I had
signed up for online about a month ago, and the new version. I went through
the installation process again (with CD and key) but it is still coming up as
a trial version (I also checked this in the Control Panel).
I saw on another forum that this type of issue can result from clashes with
pre-installed software. I don't mind if it's a glitch - I just don't want it
to suddenly expire!
Does anyone know why this might be happening or what I need to do?
Thanks in advance!
