Office Standard 2007 full version tellling me it's a trial

I recently purchased a student license of MS Office 2007 and installed it to
my new PC laptop (Windows 7) using a CD and the product key supplied (which
was accepted with no problems). It installed ok - but still said it was a
trial version.

I contacted the supplier, who said:
"The product you have purchased is not a Trial version, it is the full
Office Home & Student title. The problem may be that your PC/Laptop was
shipped to you originally with a trial version and this will need to be
un-installed."

They were correct, so I uninstalled both the trial version, which I had
signed up for online about a month ago, and the new version. I went through
the installation process again (with CD and key) but it is still coming up as
a trial version (I also checked this in the Control Panel).

I saw on another forum that this type of issue can result from clashes with
pre-installed software. I don't mind if it's a glitch - I just don't want it
to suddenly expire!

Does anyone know why this might be happening or what I need to do?

Thanks in advance!

I just uninstalled and reinstalled again and Office is now showing up as
Microsoft Office Standard 2007 Subscription in Control Panels (which seems
correct). I entered the product key and it was accepted (with a green tick) -
all seemed to install properly.

However, when I open Word it is still telling me it's a trial version and it
won't let me activate the trial online as it says the product key is
incorrect - I assume because it isn't the product key for the trial version.

I have definitely deleted the Office trial via the Control Panel, so just
can't figure this out... help!?!
