Office Standard 2007 & "non-commercial use" in title bar

My title bar STILL displays "non-commercial use" when you start WHAT SHOULD
BE an Office Standard 2007 program!!!

My sad story begins yesterday - I bought a new laptop and installed Office
Home and Student 2007 program as this was the only one that I was offered by
the salesman (and in any case the laptop was mostly for domestic use). I
quickly decided I needed to upgrade so that I could use my Microsoft
PowerPoint commercially on occassion and having paid GBP199 (i.e. about USD
400) for the upgrade just to get rid of "non-commercial use" in the title bar
of my office applications TODAY I STILL HAVE THE BLOODY TITLE BAR of the Home
and Student 2007 version!

HELP!!!

Nope - the Office Standard UPGRADE wouldn't work then would it?

You would have had to uninstall the HSE first.

I have discovered the problem which was that I had to uninstall Home and
Student Edition - To be clear you do the uninstall after you have HSE
installed the Standard Upgrade not "first" as suggested on another post to
this thread...

Yes, when prompted for the qualifying product, you would insert the HSE disk
in then point to it.

Microsoft people are bad. Microsoft know, it is very easy to break the
sick seal that Microsoft place on thier softwares. Then, after making
ourself convince that, they too need money. we think of buying thier
product. Sick, they laugh at us, by giving this kind of label on the
top of the program. Microsoft guys are really sick. I know, I have
bought the Home edition: but ---- does not have to display:
Non-commercial on the top like a banner. It is like this cheap sites
displaying add for hosting. Cannot believe such big company does cheap
things like this.

But Home and Student is MUCH cheaper than the other versions.......if you
don't want the "Non-Commercial" banner then buy a version which is
Commercial....

It's cheap all right. For about $150 you get an Office suite that can be
installed on 3 computers and the only condition is it's to be used for
personal use (not for business) and to make sure folks are aware of this
condition "Non-commercial Use" is displayed. For those who need to use the
applications for business just think, they're paying a minimum of $400 ($240
upgrade) for almost the same software that can only be installed on a
desktop computer and the owner's laptop.

Let's see...."Non-commercial Use" or an extra $100 minimum and I'm limited
to installing Office on my personal desktop and laptop. If I were buying
Office for my personal use it's an easy decision to make. :)
