Office Standard Question

Dave K.

I need to obtain Office Standard for my new Windows XP system and I went to Office Max today to try to buy it. We were holding Office 2003 Standard and he said "Ya know, there coming out with a new one on Tuesday." He wasn't clear what that meant. Do you know if he meant the upgrade is coming out Tuesday? If so, what's being upgraded? Should I buy Office 2003 Standard now, or wait?

And, what is the difference between Office 2003 Student and Teacher versions and Standard version?

Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave,

MS Office 2003 official release date to stores is
Tuesday, 21 Oct 03.

Office 2003 Student & Teacher's Edition is an
Office 2003 Standard Edition with special
'family licensing' that can allow its use on
up to 3 computers. Office Standard retail allows
one laptop and one desktop for the same user.

If you qualify for the Student & Teacher's Edition
it is lower priced that the regular Standard Edition.
