cant be selected. I'm talking about the startup assistant not the office
assistant like the dog or "clip it", is the one on the startup folder.
file is called osa.exe; this file is the one that on the startup folder and
starts with windos and let the outlook to work on the background

Odd, I have that file, but there is no shortcut in the "Startup" folder.
And it is listed in the Office Start Menu as the "Microsoft Office
Shortcut Bar" which we all know doesn't exist. So I have to admit I'm
baffled. Did you do a full, run everything from the computer install?
Also you could try a Detect and Repair from the Help menu and elect to
restore all shortcuts, etc.

Ok, one more shot at it, SP2 for Office 2003 lists the OSA.EXE as one of
the files that gets installed, so try D/L and install SP2 for Office.

One quick question. Are you talking about C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\OFFICE11 folder or some other one?

i read the kb info several times before. it tells how to set if you have the
file . the problem is that i dont have the file osa.exe and cant find it or
install it as nobody seems to know how. it is not in the foldr office11 or
anywhere int the computer or the instalation cd
