I bought Office Student a couple of years ago and have used three licenses,
but recently I had to reformat my laptop. I was just wondering if I am able
to re-install it on my laptop or if I need to buy another one?

You may have it installed on 3 PC's concurrently. You may REinstall it

No you don't. You can re-install as much as you like as long as it's only on
three machines at any one time.

That's fantastic thank you. Just out of interest, if I buy a new laptop, as
long as I format my old one (effectively removing it) can i install it on
that too?

Yes, as long as it's only on three machines. You may have to use telephone
activation to explain what you have done.
