Office Student & Teacher Edition 2003 Install

I activated the standard office 2003 trial version that came with my system.
I now have the Office Student & Teacher Edition 2003. Office 2000 is already
on my system. I installed the Student & Teacher Edition, but the trail
version is what is showing on my system. I then uninstalled 2003,
reinstalled the student & teacher version, but it appears that the standard
edition is still on my system. It is asking me do I want to purchase. What
can I do to get it off my system so that the student and teacher edition will
work?

You need to uninstall the trial version completely before installing
Student & Teacher's version. This means that you might also need to
check there are no entries in the registry for the trial version. A
tall order for the novice I say but this is how MS products work.

Ok. I'm the novice for sure. Does anyone know how to do this or should I
take it somewhere for it to be done?

OK to remove the trial version do this:

1) Start, Control Panel
2) Click Add or Remove Programs
3) Wait for list to be populated (takes time sometimes about 3 minutes)
4) Look for Office 2003 Trial version
5) Click on Change/Remove button
6) follow on screen instructions

You don't need to take the PC to anyone as this process is quite simple.

Let us know how you get on.

Best regards,
