Office Student & Teacher Version.

Is there any difference between the Student & Teacher
version and the Standard version? If not, why such a
price difference?

STE comes with a more restricted license, and you have to qualify to
purchase it. See

for more info. In addition, STE will probably not be a qualifying
product for an upgrade when the next version of Office comes out.

There is no difference. All Academic software is usually at least 50%
cheaper than retail versions. The licenses in most cases are not
upgradedable. In order to use the software in compliance with the license
you need to qualify.
