Generally, "No" it is not going to work. Office 2001 requires Classic to
run. The Classic environment cannot run on an Intel processor.
You may have some luck here:

But for the amount of fiddling around you would do, you will find it a lot
cheaper to hop out and pick up a cheap copy of Office 2004.
Cheers
Thanks for the input Bob. Well I originally installed Office Suite 2001 when
I first bought the computer, I believe in 2003. At the time I had Mac OS X
10.3 or so. The applications worked fine for a couple of years. Then all of
the sudden when I tried to launch any of the applications (except Outlook) the
applciations would close back up and gave me an error message. Interestingly
enough, if I opened a word or a Excel, or a PowerPoint document that I had
previously saved the application would open and worked just fine. That's why
for a couple of years I didn't bother to try to investigate the problem.
Recently I upgraded to OS X 10.5.8 Leopard and I still have the same issues
when I tried to open the Suite applications directly. I'm not sure whether
the SR 1 would fix this problem but I kind of curious. Thanks,
Joel
