Office Suite SP1 and SP2

I just bought Office 2007 and I want to get the updates. Do I have to
download SP1 before SP2? I'm trying to not to download updates that I don't
have to.

Let Office determine which updates to install by using the Microsoft Update
tool. Just get 'em all that are recommended.

If you are intent on outsmarting it and/or understanding it in depth, as
many of us on this forum like to do, these service packs are cumulative.

You can view the details of service packs and answers to these questions on
Microsoft's support site. Here's an example:

Description of 2007 Microsoft Office Suite Service Pack 2 (SP2) and of
Microsoft Office Language Pack 2007 SP2
