Office Template Problem

I have Office 2003 and am trying to make a template that would send an
autoreply to my emails when I am out of the office (I use a POP3 account). I
did this before and it worked fine. Now, when I make the message and do a
"save as", it does not have an option to save it as a Outlook Template. When
I go into the Template folder it has one that ends in .oft (which is the
notice I made before). I tried to change and save that file and it does not
save. Can anyone help? I would really appreciate it!!
