Office Test Drive uninstall error (-1304)

D

Dan O'Donnell

New PowerBooks come with Office v.X Test Drive.

In order to install the "real" version of Office I must uninstall this by
running the Remove Test Drive app. When I run this it errors and does not
complete, with the message:

PBCatSearchSync()
-1304

Google search of MVPs produces nothing. Microsoft Support produces nothing*.

Would any MVP know why this happens?
More importantly, what system files do I need to delete in order to properly
install Office and have it work without timing out in 30 days (or whenever)?

Thanks for any help.

Dan

(*Why does an error message delivered by the application NOT have a
corresponding tech support note?)

did you run Office Remover from the Office install CD? Dan O'Donnell
posted that it still gave the error, but it also removed Test Drive.

I don't know what's causing the error.
