When I upgraded to Office 2003 over a year ago I kept the Office Toolbar,
and use it not only for Office but other programs I use frequently.
Recently I had a video problem, solved by downloading new video drivers but
since then my Office Toolbar icons have changed. The icons are no longer
the pale pastel color of Office 2003, they have turned back into the Office
2003 bold colors. Not only that, each icon looks as through the graphic is
printed three times on it, overlapping so that e.g. for Word, I see half a
W, with the edge of two more W's poking out the right side as though they
were hiding behind it.
If I go to Customize, the icons look OK under the buttons tab.
If, instead, I click on the icons in the toolbar, and under properties try
to change the icon, it doesn't change.
If, in two steps, I first delete the old button, close the bar, reopen it
and add the application back, it fixes it.
Is there an easier way to fix this problem?
What is the cause of the problem?
Thanks,
Mich
