Office trial and existing user

Steve

I am a home user. I downloaded the Enterprise trial and I chose to uninstall
my existing 2003 programs. I decided that I don't need the Enterprise
version and want to go with the 2007 Standard. I'm going to uninstall it
and install the Standard trial.

When the 2007 is released to the general public, can I buy the upgrade
version or do I need to buy the full version?

If I can buy the upgrade, can I just stick my 2003 upgrade CD in the CD
drive when it asks for it for confirmation?

Thanks.

Hi Steve,

As you have the CDs for a 2000 or later version of MS Office you can purchase the upgrade package of the 2007 Office system product
suite of your choice. You won't have to have 2003 installed as long as you have the 2003 CDs available during 2007 setup.

It really depends on how Microsoft did their verification this time
around. You might have to reinstall 2003 for it to let you upgrade.
