Office - trial copy -??

Just bought a new Toshiba notebook. (WinXP - Home) I activated MS
Office which was loaded and the certificate said a "trial copy". I
used the key on the cert. for it to activate it. Now, I have into
Sept. to use it. Then what? Does it go south or what? What does MS
do for me in September?

Thanks...............

berry,
It is a trial copy / installation. You could also characterize it as an evaluation installation. You can evaluate / use it, but after the trial period it goes into reduced functionality mode meaning you can only read the files you created, not change, print etc...
Microsoft does nothing for you in September. If you want to keep using Office 2003 you will need to purchase it.

Actually, in September what Microsoft does for you is lets you activate your
trial copy for a price so you can continue to use it with full
functionality.
