Office tries to reinstall and can't

I tried to open an old ProWrite file and when it could not it went to try to
install something it could not find. Now none of the Office files will open.
This software was installed on the machine when I bought it and I do not
have a disk. Am I going to have to buy office again? Any help would be
appreciated.

What happens when you try to open an Office file? All programs?

A box opens to configure, then another box opens to install When it can not
find a cd it ask for where to look. Then a box opens saying it is installing
and it goes back to asking you to browse for the setup file. It goes in a
circle over and over again. If you try to exit it tries to install again.
When you insist on exiting it tells you whichever part of office you tried to
open is not installed. Only Office modules are affected.
