Office update computer crash

Microsoft continues to crash, then recommends an office update to fix the
problem. For a couple of weeks now, it only completes 30% of the update,
then stops. Please advise how to fix this problem

You can try running the Windows Script package which may restore broken
parts of it due to malware. Hopefully it helps your situation...
