Office Update error msg code 80070643

I have Windows Automatic Updates turned on. I currently use Office 2007, but
I get updates for Office 2007 & 2003. Office 2007 Updates installs without a
problem. Then I get a msg that an update failed to install with the above
code, but its not till I check the get help link that I realize the update is
for Office 2003. I can't remove this update , so whenever, I log on I get a
msg updates are available of download and installing, when I check the
updates, it the same one for Office 2003. How can I stop udates from
downloading a version I don't use or have upgraded?

Which update is it?

Go To Add/remove program and remove office 2003 from the system you will
not get any update for 2003

If the OP has the Office viewer(s) installed which he probably needs then it is obvious that he will get updates. Deleting Office 2003 from Add\Remove is not the answer.

Have to wait until the OP returns an answer to Eric's question
