Office Update failure

I am unable to update Office Professional Edition 2003.

I reach the point where I have downloaded the updates
when I am requested to find 'Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1
Premium'. Inserting the Office 2003 CD ROM does not help
as the computer is unable to find the file requested.
Installation is stopped and I have not solution.

You'd think Microsoft would have a help desk as it must
be something to do with their software.

Admittedly, this problem had existed before purchasing
Office 2003 but I had hoped that upgrading would
eliminate the problem - it hasn't.

Can anyone help please

What happens when you insert your original Office 2000 installation CD?

I suggest you ask this question on msnews.microsoft.com in one of the office
newsgroups.

As a guess you probably update to 2003 from 2000 premium. This was a feature
of office 2000 premium and cannot be bypassed.

I suggest you delete /remove to entire office program including registration
keys and do a clean new install of office 2003.
