office update failure

I have a new pc. I installed Office 2003 and did one round of updates
successfully. Microsoft said I had additional updates that I should install
after rebooting. It found 6 updates. It downloaded all of them and started to
install them. It got half way through and the installation stopped. No error
message. I finally cancelled the installation and that didn't work. I had to
"end task." Now when I try to reinstall the 6 updates the installation fails.

What should I do next? Help!!!
