When I access the Microsoft website to check for updates to Office 2000, I
get the error message "Office Update is unable to check for updates". I
uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2K SR-1 from the original disks, but still
get the error message. The suggestions MS provides in the text with the error
message don't help me.
I am able to check for and install Windows XP updates, but not Office 2k
updates. The computer ran Win98 when I first installed O2K-SR1. Then I
upgraded to XP, and now am trying to get updates for Office 2000. I installed
Service Pack SR-3 for O2K, but still can't check for updates. XP is upgraded
with all updates except SP2.
Is there some way to get the MS website to check for updates in Office 2K?
Since I now have a fresh install of O2K-SR1, I know that no updates are
installed, but how can I tell that to the MS website?
Thanks in advance for your help,
