office update not working since April 2006

Hi, been trying to run Office 2003 updates and they will not install. Have
tried to install the full file updates, but the same fault appears each time.
I have Microsoft Work on the PC as well and was wondering if this may be the
source to the problem or not. Have tried to repair and reinstall Office but
it refused to do so, saying the files are corrupted, so unstalled and
reinstalled, but the problem came back up again.

I had the same problem with this update...searched and searched and finally
found the following article: http://support.microsoft.com/?id=884298 which
contains instructions to modify some registry values. I followed the steps
exactly and was immediately able to successfully install the troublesome
updates. Hope this helps.

I tried to use that but could n0t follow what it was saying, and when it said
to look for the Source subkey, I had no idea what I was looking for at all.
