Office update request office 2000 updates for office xp?

I have office xp, and when I run office update, it recommends office 2000
updates. Why is this? How can I get it to recommend the correct updates?

Hi, lkabooki,

The updater sees Office 2000 programs still installed. Look in the Windows
Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs applet to see what is listed. Uninstall
the Office 2000 programs, or allow them to be patched. You may need the
original CDs to complete the patches.
