I've just upgraded from Office 2000 Professional to XP
Professional with Frontpage and all went smoothly.
Unfortunately, I can no longer send emails from Outlook -
it appears this is a known issue and requires SP1 and SP2
installed. When I look at Help/About, all programs (Word,
Excel, Outlook, etc) show that I'm running SP2. Office
Update keeps pointing me back to SP1, but when I try to
install it, it fails with the message "Installation
Unsuccessful" and nothing else. I've tried installing
both SP1 and SP2 from the web interface and downloading
the updates directly, but have the same results. I've
also tried running the Repair utility on the Office CDand
it completes successfully, although it doesn't say if it
actually fixed anything. Thus, how do I confirm that I am
already running SP2 and/or, how do I get SP1 and SP2
reinstalled so I can resolve my Outlook issue?
