I recently installed the trial version of Office 2003 Professional, and
retained my previous Office XP Professional. However, when I try to use the
XP version, I get this message.
"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is
unavailable.
Click OK to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing
installation package 511974.MAINsC:\Program
Files\OfficeUpdate11\Cabs\511974\.3ff.msp.
I searched everywhere for this folder, including previous versions of
Office, e.g. Office Professional forwin 95.
I cannot uninstall office XP nor can I use it.
The trial period for Office 2003 is only good until the end of January.
Is there a solution short of formatting my HD and starting from scratch? In
fact would this extreme measure solve the problem? I would appreciate any
help that anyone might offer.
Thanks,
Bill
