Office Updater unable to check for updates on my computer

Exact same problem as above. Had problem a few days ago
with Office XP Pro and just upgraded to Office 2003 Pro
this morning. Same thing.

I am having a similar problem. Windows updater works
fine. Office updater gets to 53% and then fails. I have
not done anything but apply windows updates in last 3
weeks.

Should add that I am not using .Net framework (not
installed). Thus, not a factor in my problem.
