Office Updates customisable?

Having installed office 2007 basic and then reinstalled Access 2003 only (do
not need to buy an upgrade for 2007), how can i customise winupdate to not
include all of the Office 2003 updates?

There used to be a way to select which programs you can update but now if it
(the office version) is installed, it will be updated.

How to customise 2003 not be updated???

The updater uses the Windows Installer information in the registry (what you
see in the Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs applet for what's installed)
to determine which updates to offer you. Generally, when people are getting
notification of updates they don't want, it's because they don't realize
they still have programs installed, and the suggestion is to uninstall those
from the Control Panel.

Why don't you want Access 2003 updated?

Thanks for the reply.

Access is only used a couple of times a year, cannot warrant the upgrade
price and trying to avoid all the office 2003 updates for word, excel etc but
want the 2003 Access updates only (if any come).

Will have to grin and bear with it I suppose.

Just apply them all. The updater will only apply the parts it needs based on
what's installed (unless something's really hosed up).
