office updates

I am trying (for the past 2 days) to run "office updates"
and it keeps stopping at 40% and says it has run into a
technical difficulty. Is this a problem with my computer
or are they having trouble on their end with the update
checking software. How can I fix this and find out what
updates are needed on my computer. Thank you.

Yes I am getting exactly the same thing - office updates
failing at 40%. Been happening since I upgraded to SP2.
Any ideas anyone?
