Office updates

would provide Office 2000 updates in a similar manner to how

C:\WINNT\system32\rundll32.exe C:\WINNT\system32\muweb.dll,LaunchMUSite

provides Windows updates. Now it simply redirects to the Windows update. How
do I get the Office updates to work like it used to?

You don't. Office Update site has been retired and it is Windows Update and
Microsoft Update that has taken it's place

If Microsoft Update is taking it place, why don't I see any updates for MS
Office in my "review your update history"? I have this version of MS 2000
Office 9.0.8968 SP-3. Is this the correct and up-to-date version?

Peter,

For the past year I have repeatedly confirmed that the Office update website
provided Office security updates that were not available on the Windows
update website. In addition the Windows update history does not show any
Office updates.

Is it possible that Office updates are not making it to the Windows update
website?

You can manually select the Updates from the following site

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/downloads/CD010224971033.aspx

As far as Updates from WU and MU for Office 2000 what it shows that is all there is.
Office 2000 has been retired and extended support on it also has run out. Might be
time to Upgrade to Office 2007 or even 2003 which are still under support

Part of the confusion is in the naming.
The Office Updates would never be on the Windows Update site, which, as I
understand it, has been discontinued.
Now, it's all at the Microsoft Update site.
..... well isn't that intuitive!

Rick Sparks posted working link to Office 2000 Updates page. It worked for
me just tonight.
