Office upgrade

I have used Office 97, 2000 & 2003 on my old XP computer. My new computer
came with Vista & Office 2007. Every time I try to enter a product number or
serial number to activate it, I get an invalid code. Do I need to purchase
an upgrade?

I've tried the serial number that appears on the screen when I open an Office
program (Word, Excel, etc.) I've also tried an 11 digit CD key number from
the originial Office CD. There is also a 9 digit number on the CD case. The
Office program on the new computer with Vista will not accept a number that
includes a 0 or 1.

What serial number? I don't get any sort of serial number when I open an
Office module....

The Office Product key, as with Windows is TWENTY FIVE alpha-numeric
characters

Not true.
Look for a 25 alpha-numeric series.
