Office v.X will not work for all users

Have had Office V.X working on a multi-user machine.
However recently it has totally stopped working for one of
the users. No office programs will launch at all. When
I'm logged into my account (I'm the adminsitrator - haha)I
have no problems with any of the Office programs.

Any clues - I do not want to do a full remove and re-
install and I'm not even sure that will fix it.

Thanks - MartyL

Sounds like corruption in that user's account. You could try creating a new
account for that user.

thanks for the help - Created new user and Office started
up just fine. Then tried all othe other recommendations
first (just to make sure I had all the v.X updates) and
still had problem.

This confirmed the problem was with a corrupted user
account. I then moved all files to new account. There
must be an easier way to move files, preferences,
bookmarks than what I did. Would it have been easier to
fix the corruption?

At least my wife has access to Office again.

Thanks - MartyL

Probably. Repairing disk permissions using the Disk Utility application,
followed by renaming the ~:Library:preferences:Microsoft folder with all
Office apps closed, should have gone a long way toward fixing the
problem, but if it didn't, creating a new account may have been the best
way to go.
