Office VBA Editor Appears After Unlocking Workstation

MatthewFoster

I am having a strange problem. Whenever I use the Visual Basic for
Applications editor within any Microsoft Office application---either
using ALT+F11, or selecting it from the Tools menu---the next time I
unlock my workstation (using CTRL+ALT+DEL) the VBA editor will
magically appear. For example, if I were to open the VBA editor within
Microsoft Outlook, make the code changes, and then close it, do the
same thing for Microsoft Word, and then lock and unlock my workstation,
the two VBA editor windows that I had just closed will re-appear
magically.

Has anyone seen this behavior before? I am wondering if the VBA
editor window is simply being hidden when I close it, and some key code
being sent to the operating system when I unlock the workstation is
triggering its reappearance. If not, is there a registry setting that
I can update to correct for this?

Thank you!

Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP1
Office Version: Microsoft Office 2002 SP3
