Anytime I try to open any of the microsoft office programs
it comes up with a little window to try and install the
progam again, then an error message appears, saying that
this cant continue because and instalation DLL file is
missing, Even when I try to repair from the CD I get the
same message. Please help me if you can

Put your Office CD in the CDROM drive, then run the
following cmd line (from Start/Run)

msiexec.exe /fvm E:\data1.msi

In the above cmd line, you'll need to use the drive
letter of the CDROM drive on your system ("E:\")

Once you've run this cmd line, try running a repair again.

Eric,

Thank you. But what if I do not have the office CD with
me and do not currently have access to the network ? Is
there some way to download the fix files ?

Jon

Hi Jon,

If the Installer is attempting to complete a repair like
it sounds, you'll need access to Office source files at a
local or network location.

Thanks!

Eric,

Again, thank you for the reply. Unfortunate for me, but
OK. Is it possible to use any Office 2000 CD or is it
specific to the orig. install disk. (Can I use someone
else's ?)

Regards,
Jon
